Compatible Wallets For $CRAT

  • There are several wallets compatible with the native $CRAT Coin. The key considerations are ensuring that the wallet supports EVM compatibility and that you maintain full control of the Secret Recovery Phrase.

  • Users may choose between hot or cold wallets, with or without dedicated hardware devices. However, it is generally advisable to use a hardware wallet for storing crypto assets, as it provides an added layer of security.

  • There are also many wallets that come in the form of a browser extension such as MetaMask, Crypto.com and Talisman wallet.

EVM Explained:

  • The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) serves as the core computational engine of the Ethereum network, an open-source platform that has significantly transformed the blockchain ecosystem.

  • While the EVM was initially created solely for Ethereum, its impact now extends well beyond its original environment.

  • Today, a growing number of blockchain networks strive for EVM compatibility, largely due to its robust developer community and the extensive ecosystem of decentralized applications (dApps) that continue to evolve around it.

Hot & Cold Wallets:

  • A crypto hot wallet is an internet-connected digital wallet that provides immediate access to funds, making it well-suited for frequent transactions, active trading, and interacting with decentralized applications (dApps). A common example is a MetaMask wallet, which uses a 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase as its backup mechanism.

  • In contrast, a cold wallet is an offline storage solution, typically a hardware device that keeps private keys completely disconnected from the internet, offering substantially greater security for long-term storage of larger cryptocurrency holdings. There are various hardware wallets available, such as the Nano Ledger, a USB-based device that connects to a computer, or mobile-friendly options like the Tangem wallet, which pairs a smartphone app with a credit-card-style device.

Some Information On A Nano Ledger If You Are Unaware How They Work

  • When sending tokens or coins, you must physically press the buttons on your hardware device to confirm that the information displayed on the device’s LED screen matches the intended transaction details.

  • Even if you mistakenly access a phishing website, scammers cannot initiate a transaction without your physical confirmation on the device.

  • However, there have been cases where scammers manipulated the information displayed on hardware wallets such as Ledgers—for example, altering the destination address. For this reason, it is essential to carefully review all details shown on the device’s screen before confirming any transaction. Never assume the information is correct solely because you are using a hardware wallet.
